Don’t miss out on the latest events in Lava Hot Springs. Starting this Friday, this small town will turn into a bustling winter festival, with live music, fire performances, the annual Polar Bear Float, wine tasting, and more.
Starting Friday, Feb 7th, at 5 pm, you can join Riverside Inn for a wine tasting (cost – $25). There’s bingo at the community center at 6 pm, and then at 8 pm, go see Comedian Craig Bielik.
On Saturday, you can compete in a Disc Golf tournament, eat your fill at George’s Famous Music Brinch, or take your kids to the Children’s Water Carnival. Admission to the Aquatic Center will be free for all kids, and they’ll have events like float relays, wall climbing races, and diving contests.
You can also compete in a snowshoe and Nordic ski even at Baker Ranch, and of course, there’s the Polar Float Parade – complete with costumes!
Don’t miss the chili and bread tasting Saturday evening, from 4 to 6 pm at the Chuckwagon, and then check out the fire performers and the torch light parade on L Mountain. Finish Saturday night off with a casino night at Greystone Manor.
On Sunday, you can race rubber penguins down the Portneuf River, and you have to join the running of the Bulls (run down Main Street in just your swim suit and flip flops!) Finish by jumping into Lava’s world famous hot pools.
